Telehealth Consultations:

With concerns regarding the Coronavirus outbreak, we understand that there will many people suffering with musculoskeletal pain or problems that will be unable to attend a face-to-face appointment. In light of this, The Parker Clinic will continue to offer their Telehealth Consultation service.

These online, video consultations will allow you to talk with one of our qualified Chiropractors without needing to visit our clinic; all consultations will take place via a secure programme , either FaceTime or Zoom, according to your personal preference. We aim to offer you the correct evidence-based advice, supported with exercises if appropriate, to help aid your recovery.

If you are an existing patient and you are unable to attend the clinic for your appointment, you may be suitable for a Telehealth consultation. Please phone The Parker Clinic on 0117 924 5842 and discuss this with your chiropractor.


Is a Telehealth appointment right for me?

Our Telehealth appointments are suggested for people who are seeking care for new or ongoing musculoskeletal pain, such as lower-back pain, neck pain or headaches who are unable to attend a clinic appointment.

These virtual consultations are offered using video call – so you will need access to a webcam.

If you are seeking advice and are unable to attend an appointment with us, or you are unable to see your doctor, you may be suitable for a Telehealth Consultation. For those who are self-isolating or considered vulnerable and have been advised not to socially interact, you may also be suitable for this service.


Why offer Telehealth?

We have recognised the huge pressure and demands put on the NHS in attending to patients with Coronavirus, which has meant that routine and even urgent GP appointments regarding musculoskeletal health are being postponed.

As Chiropractors, we are qualified to assess and advise people of all ages on their physical health and we would like to continue to offer our services to those who need it.


Telehealth Consultation: What to Expect in a New Consultation?

During your video consultation, your Chiropractor will take a detailed history and thoroughly asses your condition virtually. If the practitioner feels that further tests are required to understand your condition, an appropriate referral can be arranged.

Once you have been informed of your condition and your Chiropractor has discussed a plan of management with you, you will be given appropriate advice. This may include exercises given to you via our PhysioTec app which can be downloaded through Google Play store or the Apple Store.

Starting the video consultation:
1) At your scheduled appointment time, your Chiropractor will start the video call.
2) You will receive an email to ask you to join the video call.
3) To accept the video call, you will need to sign into a Zoom App.

During your consultation, we will create a personalised treatment plan that includes stretches, exercises and care guidance for you to follow at home. Exercises will be given through Physiotec App to demonstrate how they should be performed.


Telehealth Consultation: What to Expect in a Routine Appointment?

If you are one of our existing patients and are unable to attend the clinic, we still want to be able to provide you with as much care as we possibly can. Although we may not be able to provide you with hands on care, we can offer you the best advice to ensure your continued recovery.

Will the Chiropractor examine me in the Telehealth Consultation?
As the consultation is conducted over video, the Chiropractor will be unable to physically examine you. They will thoroughly investigate your condition virtually.

Chats are securely encrypted.

Remote exercise demonstration:
The Physiotec app will be demonstrate the exercises to be done. If you are unable to access this app, your Chiropractor will demonstrate appropriate exercises for you to follow on the videocall.

Is there a charge for this service?
Yes, Telehealth Consultations will be charged at £40 for the initial consultation and £30 for follow-ups.
